Following the highly successful congresses of recent years, with up to 500 participants from 30 countries, we are now pleased to announce the upcoming 2014 homeopathy congress: "Homeopathy – from childhood to old age."
Leading homeopaths from around the world will be presenting their
individual approaches to the treatment of children and elderly patients
- from ADHD, behavioural disturbances, and typical illnesses of
childhood through Alzheimer's disease, cancer, and other chronic
illnesses that occur more often with increasing age. A multifaceted
congress that promises to be a highlight for 2014.
The popular Dutch doctor Resie Moonen
kicks off the congress with her report on the Lanthanides for children.
She presents impressive cases of learning and behavioural difficulties
as well as autoimmune disease. The English doctor Jonathan Hardy,
who was very enthusiastically received at previous congresses, shows
the great potential of spider remedies for children with problems such
as ADHD, sleeplessness, and motor disturbances. NEW: Sunirmal Sarkar
(another insider’s tip) gives valuable notes on the homeopathic
treatment of Alzheimer’s disease as well as on the application of
potentised chemotherapy as treatment of cancer.
On the second day, the well-known Indian homeopath Alok Pareek draws on his extensive clinical experience to discuss neurological disturbances, including the major theme of "Alzheimer's dementia" in elderly patients. Rosina Sonnenschmidt offers reports of healed cases of muscular atrophy, borreliosis, and early-onset dementia, including some powerful live cases. The French doctor Jean-Lionel Bagot shows how he treats cancer patients, achieving an astonishing reduction in the severity of side effects from conventional treatment. On the final day the well-known Swiss homeopath Heiner Frei shows how polarity analysis makes it possible to run a busy paediatric practice with 40 patients a day. Heidi Brand and Norbert Groeger introduce us to the remedy picture of the alga Chara intermedia, which has provoked a flurry of interest, proving especially popular for geriatric cases. Wrapping up is the Israeli homeopath Michal Yakir, who shows how childhood behavioural disturbances can be treated with the insights from her groundbreaking discoveries in the typology of plants.

Books
Insects: Escaping the Earth by Peter Fraser
First in the series 'Transformation between the Realms', this book
examines the insect group of remedies. Comparisons with other groups are
made, birds for example, which are sometimes extremely subtle but
nevertheless clear.
"It become obvious that there is a world of
remedies out there, which we have been missing (800,000 known insect
species) and we need many more provings if we are to properly utilise
this source." T.Burchill (The Homeopath)
The
insects are the largest and most important class of the animal kingdom.
They are central to all aspects of life on Earth being major forces in
both the creation and destruction of life. In spite of this importance
they have not yet had a significant role in homœopathy. In the last
decade a dozen new Insect provings have opened up the remedy pictures
and given us an insight into the properties of the group as a whole. The
issues of the Insects correspond to those of the modern world and
modern disease yet they are still little understood and considerably
underused.
This is the first study of the known Insect remedies and
it outlines the features that are common to the whole group and the
often subtle distinctions that differentiate between them.
Transformation between the Realms
The
remedies that move between the Realms of Sea, Earth, Sky and Underworld
have a particular dynamic relationship to that transformation.
Understanding this dynamic helps to understand the group as a whole and
to find the subtle difference between its members. Groups include the
Insects, the Birds, the Spiders, the Snakes, the Lacs, the Drugs and the
Trees.
Spiders: Suspended between Earth and Sky by Peter Fraser
Another episode in Fraser's series 'Transformation between the Realms'. This book examines the spider remedies, which Fraser argues need an "extremely precise and careful differentiation", if one wants to be successful in one's prescribing. The book offers a detailed picture of the known spiders and their differentiating features.
There
are a large number of Spider Remedies that have been proved and are now
available and it is often difficult to differentiate between them. With
the Spider Remedies the need for extremely precise and careful
differentiation seems to be even more important than it is with other
remedies. When a Spider Remedy is called for, those that are not exactly
correct will often have very little or no significant effect and only
the one that is indicated will be effective.
This book includes an
understanding of the general Spider picture that will show the need for a
Spider Remedy. It also includes a detailed picture of the known Spiders
and their distinguishing features which can be used to differentiate
between them.

Boericke Pocket manual of Homeopathic Materia Medica and Repertory *New edition*
This classic manual, combining both Materia Medica and Repertory,
has justifiably been the most popular homeopathic reference work in the
world for decades. Within a single compact volume, it has offered
unrivalled coverage, full yet concise, of a very wide range of remedies,
including both polychrests and a substantial number of rare and
lesser-known substances.
This new edition is both the most
comprehensive version of the book. It has also been revised and expanded
to meet the needs of the modern homeopathic community.
All the minor
remedies originally mentioned either in the appendices or within the
text for other remedies have been included in alphabetical order in the
main Materia Medica section. They are clearly marked with an asterisk,
enabling readers to locate this information quickly and easily for the
first time. Valuable notes on remedy names and identities have been
added, including modern botanical, zoological and chemical nomenclature
and classification. A handy Remedy Index incorporates both scientific
and common names, and a separate list of Plant Families offers a useful
summary for relevant entries.
More than 50 important new remedies have been added, reflecting the discoveries of leading homeopaths of our generation such as Rajan Sankaran, Jan Scholten, Massimo Mangialavori, and Louis Klein. Bringing the total number of remedies to over 1,200, these are marked with a ‘+’ sign for readers’ convenience. Furthermore, new details of the colour preferences for almost 800 remedies are included. Unavailable anywhere else in this form, these alone make the book unique.
For the Repertory, the content has been preserved, complete with Repertory Index and Therapeutic Index. However, the rather idiosyncratic arrangement of rubrics and sections has been streamlined to match the more familiar structure and sequence used in The Complete Repertory. Some minor adjustments to rubric wording have also been made to help readers access symptoms more easily.
Blending the best of established knowledge and up-to-date insights, this represents an ideal reference work with a special extra flair!
