Following the highly successful congresses of recent years, with up to 500 participants from 30 countries, we are now pleased to announce the upcoming 2014 homeopathy congress: "Homeopathy – from childhood to old age."
Leading homeopaths from around the world will be presenting their
individual approaches to the treatment of children and elderly patients
- from ADHD, behavioural disturbances, and typical illnesses of
childhood through Alzheimer's disease, cancer, and other chronic
illnesses that occur more often with increasing age. A multifaceted
congress that promises to be a highlight for 2014.
The popular Dutch doctor Resie Moonen
kicks off the congress with her report on the Lanthanides for children.
She presents impressive cases of learning and behavioural difficulties
as well as autoimmune disease. The English doctor Jonathan Hardy,
who was very enthusiastically received at previous congresses, shows
the great potential of spider remedies for children with problems such
as ADHD, sleeplessness, and motor disturbances. NEW: Sunirmal Sarkar
(another insider’s tip) gives valuable notes on the homeopathic
treatment of Alzheimer’s disease as well as on the application of
potentised chemotherapy as treatment of cancer.
On the second day, the well-known Indian homeopath Alok Pareek draws on his extensive clinical experience to discuss neurological disturbances, including the major theme of "Alzheimer's dementia" in elderly patients. Rosina Sonnenschmidt offers reports of healed cases of muscular atrophy, borreliosis, and early-onset dementia, including some powerful live cases. The French doctor Jean-Lionel Bagot shows how he treats cancer patients, achieving an astonishing reduction in the severity of side effects from conventional treatment. On the final day the well-known Swiss homeopath Heiner Frei shows how polarity analysis makes it possible to run a busy paediatric practice with 40 patients a day. Heidi Brand and Norbert Groeger introduce us to the remedy picture of the alga Chara intermedia, which has provoked a flurry of interest, proving especially popular for geriatric cases. Wrapping up is the Israeli homeopath Michal Yakir, who shows how childhood behavioural disturbances can be treated with the insights from her groundbreaking discoveries in the typology of plants.

Seminar on Mammal remedies with Jonathan Hardy
11th and 12th of April 2014 in Toulouse, France
Seminar given in English with French translation
The Société de Médecine Homéopathique de Midi-Pyrénées (SMHMP) warmly invites you to an inspiring seminar on the Mammals by Jonathan Hardy.
Jonathan Hardy is one of the most prominent teachers of “today’s homeopathy”. His in-depth knowledge of material medica and repertorisation allows him to associate the best of traditional homeopathy with the cutting-edge ideas of leading homeopaths, such as Jan Scholten and Rajan Sankaran. Moreover, his training as a zoologist gives him a particular “feeling” for the animal kingdom. It is, however, his skills as a teacher which make him a particularly sought after lecturer for he is able to make the most difficult cases clear and easily understandable. His lively clinical cases speak for themselves and his results are a homage to homeopathy.
A promising seminar not to be missed!

Polarity Analysis in Homeopathy: A Precise Path to the Simillimum by Heiner Frei
Polarity analysis is an efficient method
that helps a busy practitioner by making the homeopathic prescription
faster and more precise. The Swiss physician Heiner Frei developed this
method to demonstrate the efficacy of homeopathic treatment of ADHD
children in a controlled 5-year clinical study. The study demonstrated
highly significant effects of homeopathy.
Polarity analysis is
based on Boenninghausen’s Therapeutic Pocketbook and has revolutionised
homeopathic treatment. Cornerstones of the prescription are polar
symptoms such as amelioration or aggravation by heat or motion. They
mirror the disturbed vital force. Polarity analysis goes directly to the
core of the case. It offers clear differentiation of a manageable
number of 133 remedies.
Heiner Frei’s method is easy to learn. He
shows us all its facets and nuances by leading us through 40 exciting
cases, from acute hearing loss, allergic disease, chronic obstructive
bronchitis, mononucleosis, mumps and scarlet fever to ADHD, Asperger
syndrome and epilepsy. Casetaking is facilitated by checklists and
questionnaires.
This book comes from the large practice of an
experienced homeopathic physician as well as from a passionate
researcher who will not rest until he can bring his inspired discovery
to perfection. His success rate of 80% speaks for itself.
“With
Heiner Frei’s polarity analysis, the Boenninghausen method has reached a
peak of perfection which we have witnessed in our practice. The
modalities are a direct reaction of the vital force to any pathological
disturbance: unlike psychological symptoms, they do not require any
interpretation.
Polarity analysis is a reliable method and it
enhances our work, especially for quick treatment of acute illness and
for hyperactive children – we would certainly not want to do without it
again.”
Ulrich Welte
"By the way, the book is beyond fantastic. It is without a doubt
the clearest, most precise homeopathy book I have read. Congrats over
and again!"
Lauren Hubele
"I bought the book and love it. Read it cover to cover twice in a week."

Birds, Seeking the Freedom of the Sky by Peter Fraser
This book offers a clear differentiation between the different bird
species. If bird remedies are relatively well known, the differences
between the species have been difficult to establish. The book is well
organised, following the scientific classification of order, family,
genus, and species, which makes it easy to work with. Individual
remedies are examined, drawing out their individual important aspects,
enabling us to differentiate between the subtle differences of each bird
remedy. In total, forty remedies are explored, from the familiar Falco
peregrinus to the less known Pharomachrus mocinno. One down side to this
otherwise interesting book is the lack of accompanying cases, which
would have been welcome to complement the remedy pictures.
"Peter
brings a fine focus that penetrates the outer veils to reveal the
simpler and truer nature of things. This leads to brevity of expression
as well as concentration of the material: an aqua vita from which we may
sip and understand. The information given is really useful in practice,
helping me to recognise similima. I have been eagerly awaiting this
book." Misha Norland
Birds. Homeopathic Remedies for the Avian Realm by Jonathan Shore
A phenomenal modern contribution to homeopathy, 'Birds: Homeopathic
Reme- dies from the Avian Realm', introduces the reader to sixteen
homeopathic remedies from the bird kingdom: Brown Pelican, Scarlet
Macaw, Ring Dove/Woodpigeon, Red- Tailed Hawk, Great Horned Owl, Great
Blue Heron, Bald Eagle, Raven, Peregrine Falcon, Saker Falcon, Turkey
Vulture, Andean Condor, Humboldt Penguin, Swan, and Wandering Albatross.
This well researched, well-indexed book about homeopathic remedies made
from bird substances, such as feathers, integrates scientific facts;
bird characteristics, scientific nomenclature, physiognomy and
physiology, with homeopathic themes and essences.
Dr. Shore includes
a detailed description of the trituration/proving process utilised. The
resulting proving information is not just lists of symptoms but is much
more process oriented. He includes transcribed interviews with provers,
in a group setting. This renders the proving material well-formatted
and readable! The proving sections are accompanied. by prominent
rubrics, and related remedies to compare.
Another strong component
of this text are the cases. These act as background information and
colourfully enliven the remedy pictures. These allow or a better
understanding of the remedies and assist the reader in taking a giant
step forward, toward shedding light on the nature of this family of
remedies. This book is an excellent resource and instructional tool. In
the clinic setting, its use is heightened by detailed 'prescribing
tips'. 'Birds: Homeopathic Remedies from the Avian Realm', sets the bar
higher for future homeopathic texts.
Further readability ensues with
nice inclusions of supportive or illustrative information including; 3
poem, Falcon Freedom by a ten-yr-old boy after receiving Falco-p;
excerpts from books, fictional and scientific, related to birds;
mythology; symbolism; and natural history.
This user-friendly tool
is a valuable, innovative resource. Its sky blue front and back covers
enclose flap pages decorated by nice Audubon-style drawings of included
birds with individual birds on related section page borders for easier
location. Innovative formatting is best explained by the introductory
note which is marked by a feather icon: 'it is our hope that this format
will permit the reader in the first instance to easily recognise when a
patient needs a bird remedy, and in the second instance, to do a
thorough differential analysis to find the specific bird.'
'Birds:
Homeopathic Remedies from the Avian Realm' reflects the depth and breath
of the bird kingdom and its beauty. I came away with the feeling that
by tapping into the healing resources bird remedies offer, I am able to
more fully understand my humanness.'
Homeopathic Mind Maps - Remedies from the Class Aves - Birds by Alicia Lee
Creative and insightful, sophisticated and simple, Alicia Lee's exciting
new mind map book brings us 78 Bird remedies, several case studies and
numerous differential charts, many of which are new to our materia
medica.
Her unique mind map format allows the psychological,
emotional and physical picture of the remedy to clearly emerge. The
essence can be seen at a glance and individualizing symptoms are
highlighted.
The book is laid out in a logical, easily understood
pattern based on the taxonomic division of the birds, allowing for
clarity of comparison.
Lee has done thorough research and often
gives us a description of the source of the substance, the correct
scientific name of the bird, as well as its place in human history,
science, mythology, legends and folklore. This provides
fascinating glimpses into the fundamental nature of the remedy.
Excerpts
from poems or stories, or quotes from literature provide context and a
deeper perspective into the realm of a remedy. For example, the story of
Empress Elisabeth of the Austro-Hungarian Empire gives us a moving tale
of love and tormenting heartbreak that leads us deeply into the essence
of Cygnus Olor.
Each mind map is illustrated with an apt and
beautiful photograph of the bird itself, further enhancing our insight
into the character of the remedy.
These many elements come
together as a beautiful work of art; this book is not only an
indispensable life-long reference book for homeopaths, it is also a
treasure trove of beauty and interest, bringing us a vast body of
knowledge in a remarkably concise, clear and uncluttered presentation.
Alongside her earlier trilogy of mind map books, it is a magnificent
addition to any homeopath's library.
